8B Expands Scan-to-Pay Coverage in Latin America
8B is adding Colombia, Peru, Paraguay and Bolivia to its Scan-to-Pay coverage, alongside Brazil and Argentina. Banks, wallets and superapps can now connect to supported local QR payment networks across six Latin American markets through one API.

Four new markets with established payment ecosystems
The latest additions bring access to markets where local payment systems already process substantial transaction volumes:
- Colombia — Bre-B: approximately 3.6 billion transactions on an annualised basis.
- Peru — Yape and Plin: Yape alone accounts for approximately 13.5 billion transactions on an annualised basis.
- Bolivia — QR Simple: approximately 2.3 billion transactions on an annualised basis.
- Paraguay — Bancard QR: approximately 300 million transactions on an annualised basis.
These estimates use the latest available 2026 data. They describe activity in the named payment systems; transaction definitions vary by system.
The new markets join Pix in Brazil and Transferencias 3.0 in Argentina, broadening the destinations available to customers of participating institutions.
Regional access through one integration
8B connects institutions to supported merchant acceptance networks and provides the routing, FX and settlement arrangements behind cross-border Scan-to-Pay.
Banks and wallets can extend their existing apps into additional markets through the same integration. Acceptance depends on the supported schemes, merchants and transaction types in each country.
