CoDi

CoDi (Cobro Digital) is Mexico’s real-time payment system developed by Banco de México. It enables consumers and businesses to make instant account-to-account payments using QR codes and digital payment requests without relying on card networks. CoDi is integrated directly with participating banks, making it one of the country’s core payment methods for retail purchases, peer-to-peer transfers and business payments. By 2025, CoDi had more than 21 million validated accounts, although adoption has grown more slowly than Mexico’s broader SPEI transfer system.
